Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use the Hystore website, with or without a mouse, with a screen reader or with zoom. This page explains what we did, how it was evaluated and how to report a barrier.

This is a translation for convenience. In case of any difference, the Portuguese version prevails.

1. Our commitment

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), level AA, as a reference, in line with the Brazilian Inclusion Law (Law 13.146/2015).

2. Keyboard navigation

The whole website works with the keyboard alone:

  • Tab and Shift+Tab: move through links, buttons and fields in page order, with the focus always visible.
  • The first Tab shows the "Skip to content" link, which goes straight to the main text.
  • Enter or Space: open the Games, Solutions and Language menus. Esc closes the menu and returns the focus to the button that opened it.
  • On phones and small screens, the menu opens in a panel that keeps the focus while it is open; Esc closes it.
  • Arrow keys: switch tabs, such as the store layouts one.
  • Enter or Space: open and close the frequently asked questions.
  • The circle of features at the top stops spinning when an item receives focus.
  • In the Hyler chat, Esc closes the conversation and returns the focus.

3. Other features

  • Screen readers: headings in order, marked page regions, alternative text on informative images, labels on icon buttons and the page language declared.
  • Reduced motion: with the system option on, animations stop.
  • Light and dark theme, following the system or your choice.
  • Layout that adapts to small screens and browser zoom.

4. How we evaluated

On October 21, 2026 we evaluated every page of the website, in the light and dark themes, with the automated axe tool (WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 rules, levels A and AA) and with keyboard navigation tests. The problems found were fixed, and the automated tests run again with every change to the website.

This evaluation covers the hystore.com.br website. The panel and the stores are under review.

5. Known limitations

  • The 3D logo and decorative animations carry no information; they have a description or are hidden from screen readers.
  • The screenshots of the example stores are images; what each one shows is described in the text next to it.
